Frequently Asked Questions
- What are your school hours?
School begins at 8:20am with homeroom, prayer and announcements. Students may be dropped off as early as 7:45am.
Dismissal begins at 2:30pm with buses leaving first. Carpool pick up runs from 2:30pm-3:00pm.
We do offer Before Care (7:15am-7:45am) and After Care (3:00pm-5:30pm) for an additional fee.
- Tell me more about your bus service.
We offer bus service to Metairie and the Westbank for a $1400 annual fee. There are several stops for families to choose from. Stops will be determined after bus registration is complete.
- Do you provide lunch service?
Because of the numerous dietary restrictions of our students, everyone brings their own lunch. Upper School and Adult Programs can purchase drinks from the vending machine. Students eat in their classrooms.
- Are there opportunities for parents to get involved?
Yes! We have numerous activities throughout the year, and invite our parents to volunteer if they are able.
- Is there a summer program?
Yes, we do offer a six week summer camp for returning, enrolled students.

Mission Statement
The Sacred Mission of St. Michael is to provide a Catholic environment where students with intellectual and developmental disabilities are able to grow in faith and reach their full potential – academically, socially, and physically.
